The Colorado Department of Agriculture works to strengthen and advance Colorado agriculture; promote a safe and high-quality food supply; protect consumers; and foster responsible stewardship of the environment and natural resources. Within the Markets Division, the Climate Smart Markets program supports the development of markets to increase sales and generate premiums for agricultural commodities and products that are raised or made using practices responsive to Colorado’s increasing climatic challenges.
